I’m Tuan Nguyen.

I am a husband and father of two.

I’m also a software engineer. I spent 14 years working across backend systems, data, architecture, and technical leadership. I took some time off, but I’m back to building again, and looking very closely at this AI moment.

The promise of technology was to free us, but for many of us, the opposite has become true. Without a proper telos, technology defaults to more speed, more scale, and more output, without asking what any of it is for. I believe technology should serve a vision of the human person whose dignity precedes anything they produce.

Against this backdrop, I am exploring how AI can serve a fuller human life by:

  • Building small tools for everyday problems that have previously been too costly to solve with software.
  • Considering how AI can better serve families, local communities, small businesses, and civic organizations.
  • Pursuing technical excellence while making room for responsibilities and commitments beyond work.

What I’m working on

These are strange times. I’m still figuring out what comes next. For now I’m building, writing, chatting, and seeing where it goes.
